Inside the KADO project

Omakase · Social & print campaign

The business

KADO is an omakase restaurant, where the chef chooses the meal. The campaign introduces the food, the setting and the experience of an evening at the counter.

What you’ll see

Follow the campaign idea through six social designs, a tasting menu, an event poster and an invitation. Each piece has a specific role in the story.

Before the
first bite.

An evening worth making time for. A hospitality campaign that connects the ingredient, the place at the counter and the invitation to stay.

KADO the social series: One campaign. Six moments.
Charcoal and ivory. Ingredients and atmosphere. Six designs, connected by one idea.

01 / The idea

Make the evening
part of the appeal.

A good food image earns a closer look. The campaign also needed to help someone picture the evening: where they would sit, what they would taste and why they would make time for it.

“Before the first bite” gave the series a simple thread. We moved from the ingredient to the counter, introduced the sake pairing, then ended with a clear invitation to reserve.

Photography direction

Give the detail room.

Close crops draw attention to the ingredient and the ceramics. Counter scenes introduce the setting.

Design system

Create a change of pace.

Dark food images alternate with quieter ivory layouts, keeping the series connected without making every post identical.

Copywriting

Make the next step clear.

Headlines introduce the occasion. Captions add context. The final post invites a reservation inquiry.

One invitation.

03 / Print & event

From the feed
to the table.

Counter Sessions gives the proposed omakase and sake evening a name. The poster introduces it; the invitation makes it personal; the tasting menu carries the identity through to the table.

Each format has its own layout. The small wordmark, serif type, fine linework and red detail keep the experience consistent.

04 / The outcome

A complete campaign.
A clear route to the counter.

The finished concept gives the restaurant a consistent way to introduce the food, show the setting and invite an inquiry. The same idea works across the feed, the event invitation and the menu.

For a live campaign, the reservation post would lead to a page with the actual menu, price and available sittings. We would then measure completed bookings as well as visits to that page.
