The short version
The only personal information we hold is what you type into the inquiry form. We use it to answer you. We do not sell it, and we do not send marketing to people who did not ask for it.
What we collect
When you send an inquiry: your name, email address, and optionally your company, a budget range and whatever you write in the message. The email address is the only part we genuinely need — without it we cannot reply.
Our host also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. Those are not linked to inquiries.
Analytics
We do not run analytics on this site and we set no advertising or tracking cookies. Nothing you do here is profiled.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Because you asked us to. Sending the form is your request for us to get in touch, which under GDPR is a legitimate interest in responding to an inquiry. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
Who else sees it
Two companies, each only as far as they have to:
Netlify hosts the site and receives the form submission before passing it to our inbox. Our email provider stores the message once it arrives. Nobody else is given access, and we do not sell or share inquiry data.
How long we keep it
Inquiries stay in our inbox for two years, so we can pick a conversation back up. If a project starts, the correspondence is kept for as long as we work together and for six years afterwards, because tax rules require it. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@shirleyesid.com and we will do it within 30 days, free. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to your national data protection authority.
